Westcorp Hotel in Downtown Kelowna Approved

Westcorp News

Westcorp received approval from Kelowna City Council for its downtown hotel project on Feb. 20th, 2018.  The project, to be constructed on the Willow Inn site adjacent to Kerry Park on the waterfront, will include 174 hotel rooms, 40 residences, a conference centre, restaurant and coffee shop on the park, retail opportunities on Water St., and a 17th floor public restaurant and culinary venue.

The hotel is designed by GCA Architects from Barcelona, Spain who bring a vast pedigree (they have designed 180 luxury hotels worldwide) and a global perspective to the project.  Canadian architectural expertise and collaboration is provided by the IBI Group.

“Following models such as the Fairmont Pacific Rim, Hotel Georgia, Shangri La and Le Germain, the hotel project will include a limited number of residences in the upper levels of the tower.  This is a one-of-a-kind site in a very special place in the world.  The hotel, and the stunning homes that will accompany it, will bring a presence and grace to the waterfront that will compete on the world stage.” Phil Milroy, CEO Westcorp

Westcorp is currently working on construction drawings and the design and construction of a sales presentation centre.  For those interested in the upcoming residences, a means of registering will become available in the near future.  Until then, if you would like to be kept informed, please share your contact details (name, address, phone number and email) with Shane Styles, Director of Real Estate, at sstyles@westcorp.net.  Questions about the project can be directed to Gail Temple, VP Operations, at gtemple@westcorp.net
