COVID-19 Update: Resources for Financial Support

Westcorp News

To our valued Residents;

We understand that this is and will continue to be a difficult time for our residents. We have taken measures to keep connected with you. We will communicate regularly and will continue with health and safety procedures and social distancing to slow the spread of the virus and ease the burden on our beleaguered health infrastructure.

If you are a resident experiencing financial difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this will undoubtedly make paying expenses, like rent, more difficult. We ask that you contact your community property management office and speak with the property manager as soon as possible.  We will do our best to work with those residents that are facing hardship. Communication, transparency and good faith are what is needed in the coming weeks.  Together we will find a way to get through these tough times.

Westcorp remains committed to providing you with a clean, safe environment and ensuring that all essential services are taken care of.  In light of recent developments, we are taking measures to manage operating costs, but unfortunately, there are still many expenditures required to meet this commitment.

As such, we need to advise that rent remains due on the 1st of the month. We continue to monitor federal and provincial programs for any assistance they may provide as a esult of COVID-19, financial or otherwise, and we strongly urge you to explore these programs regardless of your financial situation.  We have included links to the government assistance programs we are aware of at the time of this communication:

Federal: Support for Canadians

Alberta:  Alberta Health Services

Westcorp will maintain as much transparency as possible with you, and our phones are open. Open communication is critical at this time.  Let’s learn as much as we can about what the future may hold and survive this pandemic together.  Stay safe and healthy.

Kind Regards,

Westcorp Property Management Inc.
