On February 15, College Plaza Diversions and the Westcorp Corporate Events Committee held its Hearts for Health, Vitality for Life Day. Tenants from College Plaza Professional Building and the residents from Galen Lofts and Windsor Park Plaza & Lofts learned a number of heart-smart tips for healthier living.

The fun-filled event featured complimentary massages courtesy of River Valley Health, blood pressure readings courtesy of The Medicine Shoppe, a heart health presentation and complimentary body compositions courtesy of New Body Health and Wellness, and blood donation information courtesy of Canadian Blood Services.

Westcorp would like to say a big Thank You to all of our employees and tenants who helped make our donation and book drive a huge success. This great initiative collected items and books on the Kids Kottage Wish List, in support of the Kids Kottage Foundation. Kids Kottage is a crisis nursery and safe shelter for young children whose families are in crisis. They provide parents with support and give children a safe place to stay during a family crisis, helping prevent child abuse and neglect in Edmonton and area families. Nothing says summer quite like a hot grill on a patio with great friends, especially when it’s in support of a great cause. Westcorp held its 11th Annual “Kickoff to Capital Ex” Barbecue last Friday and this year all proceeds went to the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation.

Tenants from College Plaza Professional Building and residents from Windsor Park Plaza & Lofts enjoyed great food and entertainment as well as a chance to win exciting door prizes.
